My Story
Life is better with a dog.
I have been in the animal care industry for over 17 years and I wouldn't have it any other way. I started out at a local veterinary clinic where I worked for a number of years. Upon leaving my position at the veterinary clinic I branched out into the grooming world. I started as a bather at a prominent local grooming facility called Woof! Pet Salon.
It was there that I began and completed my grooming apprenticeship under the supervision of a very knowledgeable groomer whom I had known and worked with for many years. I continued to hone my grooming skills at Woof! Pet Salon until I felt that I had reached the point that I was no longer able to grow. It was a tough decision to leave a job (and clients) that I loved so much, but it gave me the opportunity to start my own business while still having the flexibility to spend more time with my family.
Shaggy to Chic strives to provide all clients with the best quality grooming at a reasonable price. All grooming salons are different- we all have our own style and methods. I prefer to find which techniques accommodate each individual dog the best. Just like humans, what works great for one may not work so well for the next. My goal is to find what makes each dog as comfortable as possible so that their grooming experience is as pleasant as possible. At Shaggy to Chic your dog's comfort is our #1 priority!
